Dear Coach Applicants,

We are now accepting applications to coach and manage our GVLL spring league teams.  Our coaching application portal is available on the gvll.org website.  Please log into your family master account that you created to register your player.  Below are the instructions for submitting your on-line application.

Please note that this is an application.  All decisions regarding assignment of coaches and managers will be made by the GVLL Board of Directors.  All individuals selected to coach are required to have a background check completed which will include providing certain personal information as well as a copy of a government issued photo identification.  This is a Little League International requirement and is not optional.

Also, coaches and managers will be required to attend and assist with the following:

-       Attendance at Positive Coaching Alliance Training

-       Field Opening and Closing Days

-       Weekly field maintenance

-       Supporting Bat-A-Thon and organizing parent Snack Bar assignments

-       Abiding by GVLL’s code of conduct

This is the first year GVLL is using the new Blue Sombrero website to manage the coaching applications. If you have any issues with the portal please e-mail Bill Riley at [email protected] who will assist.  All coaching applications must be received by February 19 to be considered.

Application Instructions

Ø  Log into your family gvll.org account that you created when you registered your player.  It doesn't matter who created the account.

Ø  From your account dashboard, click the “Register Now” button in the top right.  Do not go through the Volunteer screen.

Ø  Add Participant

Ø  Click the I am registering myself in an activity (if it appears)

Ø  If you are not the account holder, then you will need to enter yourself as a participant.  Otherwise enter your DOB and click continue.

Ø  You should have 3 choices for registration.  DO NOT complete the Background Application at this point.  This will only be required if you are selected to manage or coach.  If you coached in GVLL in 2015, then complete the returning coach application.  Otherwise complete the New Coach Application.

Ø  Select your name from the list if it appears

Ø  Continue through the payment screens (no payment required but this functionality is imbedded in the system) and submit order.  You must “Submit Order” for the application to be complete.

Ø  The owner of the master account that you used to log in should receive an e-mail confirmation.  If this does not occur, your application was not submitted and you must go back into the system and ensure you went all the way through the process to the point of submitting the “order”.
